Congratulations to Kay Snelling for being the 2018 Coral Springs Charter Chapter Woman of the Year
Each year one woman is honored with this title from the Chapter. In order to qualify, she must be a past chapter officer or committee chairperson, be a member for at least one year, and have made a major contribution in time and effort to the chapter.
Kay was born in Pennsylvania; however moved to Delaware before following her sister to Florida four years ago. She has been married, has one daughter, four grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren with another one due next month. She also has one stepdaughter who has a baby. Kay worked three careers in her lifetime, the first was on the manufacturing line for Pepperidge Farms, the second was starting as a receptionist, working her way through accounts receivable into sales and up the ladder to become President of Wholesale Electronics. After the business was sold by the owner, Kay chose to start her own business, Gecko Fashions. She had a wonderful run of 8 years before the economy and a new location forced Kay to retire. Kay is a marketing representative for a wellness company, Melaleuca.

Kay moved to Pembroke Pines to help her sister and got involved in the ABWA South Broward chapter. When that chapter folded, Kay joined Coral Springs. Two years ago Kay was elected as Vice President of the chapter. Kay is the current Newsletter Chair as well as the co-chair of the Membership Committee. Kay enjoys calling our guests and members so you may speak to Kay if you are running late for registering for a meeting. Kay is the Chair of ABWA TriCounty Council.

Kay likes meeting the many members from across the state and the country. Kay attends both District and National Conferences; as well as, other South Florida events whenever possible.
