2018-2019 OFFICERS

Kay Snelling, President
Kay was born in Pennsylvania; however, moved to Delaware before following her sister to Florida four years ago. She has been married, has one daughter, a step-daughter, four grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She also has a stepdaughter who has a baby. Kay worked three careers in her lifetime, the first was on the manufacturing line for Pepperidge Farms, the second was starting as a receptionist, working her way through purchasing, into sales and up the ladder to become President of Wholesale Electronics. After the business was sold by the owner, Kay chose to start her own business, Gecko Fashions. She had a wonderful run of 8 years before the economy and a new location forced Kay to retire. Kay is a marketing representative for the wellness company, Melaleuca.

Kay moved to Pembroke Pines in 2014 to help her sister. Kay joined Coral Springs. Three years ago, Kay was elected as Vice President of the chapter. Last year Kay was the Newsletter Chair as well as the co-chair of the Membership Committee. Kay enjoys calling our guests and members, so you may speak to Kay if you are running late for registering for a meeting. Kay was the Chair of ABWA Tri-County Council 2016-2017 and is the current Chair. She is also the 2018 Women of the Year.

 

Gayle Bramson, Vice President
  Gayle was born and raised in Levittown, N.Y. Her family moved to Florida in 1971. She completed high school in Plantation and attended Broward Community College where she received her A.S. degree in speech pathology. She then transferred to the University of South Florida where she completed her Master’s degree in Deaf Education. She taught deaf and hard of hearing students for 2 years in Tampa and then relocated to Plantation. She taught at South Plantation High school for 20 years and then transferred to Seminole Middle School where she completed her career in deaf education, retiring 3 years ago.

She became a Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant 11 years ago, initially as a chance to make extra income to supplement her family. Now she is a full time consultant anxious to change the lives of women one face at a time. Gayle is married to Harold, has 2 children-Matthew and Blaire and 2 grandchildren-Daniel and Gabe. Gayle joined ABWA 5 years ago to be able to learn from successful women and to become a mentor for other women who are becoming independent business owners. She has volunteered as membership co-chair, chair of professional development, co-chair of Ladies Who Brunch and is currently vice president for 2018-19.

 


Lois Margolin, Treasurer

  Lois is the majority owner of Chelsea Information Systems, Inc. (Chelsea), an international software company which has been in business for over 30 years. Lois’ previous employment includes KPMG Peat Marwick, where she was one of the youngest CPA senior audit managers.

Lois has been a member of the Coral Springs Charter Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association for over ten years. She is the Tri County Council Financial Officer and the Coral Springs Charter Chapter Treasurer. On a national level, Lois is a 2013 ABWA Top Ten Business Woman, 2012-2013 District I Vice President, the 2011 National Women’s Leadership Conference Co-Chair, 2010 National Women’s Leadership Conference Registration Co-Lead and the 2009 District I Conference Chair.

Lois is currently on the board of Toastmasters for 2 clubs. As an Executive Board Member of Our Town America, Lois is the co-chair of Our Town’s Got Talent.

Lois lives in Coral Springs, Florida with Les, her husband of over 35 years. Lois and Les have two happily married daughters, Ronnie and Melissa and a 3 year old grandson Wyatt, who walks on water.

 

Brittani Barrett, Secretary
  A native of Florida, Brittani graduated from The University of Florida in 2008. After graduation, she was one of the first graduates in AT&T’s Retail Leadership Program, where she launched her career in corporate leadership. After 5 years, she became a Senior Regional Manager at Cross Country Home Services, where she received their prestigious President’s award. In 2016, Brittani joined Kforce Inc., where her team specializes in placing finance and accounting professionals. In her first year, she was awarded the “Rookie of the Year” award and is currently a leader on the finance and accounting team.

She became a member of ABWA Coral Springs Charter Chapter in February 2018, just one month after attending her first meeting. Brittani is currently serving on the executive board as secretary.

Brittani resides in Parkland Florida with her husband Andre where they own and operate DS Vends, a healthy snack vending company for companies in South Florida. Together they have 3 beautiful daughters, Kelis, Brooke and Mackenzie, ages 9, 6 and 2.

Judy Rubin, Past President
A native of Philadelphia, Judy graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a BS in Nursing, and then began her clinical career in the areas of Labor and Delivery, Post-Partum and Nursery. She moved to Houston, Texas in 1979 and began a long and successful sales career with industry leaders such as Caremark and 3M Pharmaceuticals where she continued pursuing her interests in Women’s Health and Dermatology.

Numerous awards and promotions allowed her to relocate to Coral Springs, Florida where she spent many years traveling the state, working with the Florida medical schools, VA Hospitals, and Military bases. She currently works as a Clinical Nurse Manager for Medical Staffing Network.

After joining ABWA in 2012, Judy served as Co Chair for the 10th anniversary of Ladies Night Out - the most financially successful fundraising event in the history of the chapter. She repeated the Co-Chairmanship the following year when the venue was changed to Ladies Who Brunch.  She was honored to be the second recipient of the chapter’s Superstar Award in 2015 and has assumed many other roles in the Chapter.
